the mild discrimination. // 20100815 //
isnt it wonderful if we, human were given the chance to say all the things you could have said but didnt. in a way, i think bloggers do just that. yet i have to admit that the reality is more mundane and sad ; that we have to face the brutal yet everyday fact that we are here because of our own judgement and mismanagement.
needless to say, it is a cowardly approach. but i guess, any form of communication is better than nothing at all (especially when you meet only on occasions yet have no sense of decency to even say a word of hello). there are ways in dealing with your subdued sense of panic when you realise that you are not one of those fancied one among a certain clan of people. an amateur would react by leaping on it with juvenile enthusiasm ; the situation would seem dire, and you'd be getting giddy spells inside your head all day.
as for me, i like looking on at other people crucial situations. if there was a road accident or a street fight or a baby pickled in a laboratory jar for me to look at, i'd stop and look so hard , i never forget it. also when people appear as those who seem to have their shit together, and look down on others like everyone wears the colour of sin, that they know very little, people around them objectify them in such a manner as well (sometimes worse).
on the bright side: its good to see that most of us refuse to get taken for a ride by anyone voluntarily. i respect the effort for being defensive. on a lighter note : enjoy people who are different from you. its the variety that makes life wonderful. look out for the rights of others, if you let discrimination happen, you'll be next.
